Also, I'd preferably want a mattress in a box that can be delivered since I don't have an easy way to drive one home. But I don't want to get hot while sleeping, and I don't like the foam ones that are so plush and sink in to the point where you can't crawl around in the bed easily. I'm interested in either hybrid or all foam mattresses, as I like sinking into the mattress a little bit. I like about a middle range or medium firm mattress I think, so maybe 4 - 6 or so on the firmness scale. ![]() I'm 5' 6" and 140 lbs, so maybe on the lighter to average size. I don't normally have any shoulder or hip pain, but I think my shoulders are more sensitive to pain from sleeping on a really firm mattresses. Occasionally, I'll wake up on my back, but I can only fall asleep on my side. I'm pretty much exclusively a side sleeper. Anyway, I thought I would consult this sub with what I do know about my preferences to see if anyone has any recommendations! I used to sleep on a mattress from Sam's Club that was innerspring and maybe a little too firm for me, and oddly enough, I think my favorite bed was my dorm bed with a 2-inch foam mattress topper. Since I'm fairly new to mattress shopping, I don't quite know my exact preferences. I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed with the numerous options available, and I don't feel comfortable right now going to a mattress store to try out different mattresses. ![]() I just moved into my first apartment and I'm looking to buy my first mattress on my own. ![]()
